Court remands 2 siblings, another for murder


ABEOKUTA — A magistrate’s court sitting in Isabo, Abeokuta, yesterday, remanded two siblings and their friend for allegedly killing a man identified as Yusuf Jubril.

The two brothers, Abdulahi Aliu and Sheu Aliu were arraigned alongside their friend, Musa Ahmadu, before the magistrate’s court for allegedly macheting Jubril to death.

The prosecutor, Sunday Eigbejiale told the court that the accused committed the offence on June 30, 2013 at Rounder area in Abeokuta.

Eigbejiale said the accused are facing two-count charge of conspiracy and murder which he said are contrary to and punishable under Sections 324, 316 and 319 (1) of the Criminal Code Laws of Ogun State, 2006.

The Chief Magistrate, Martins   Akinyemi, remanded the three accused in prison pending the advice by the Ministry of Justice.

Akinyemi, however, adjourned the case till October 8, 2014.
