The 2014 edition of Lagos International Motor Show will hold from the 1st to 7th of May at the Federal Palace Hotel, Victoria Island, Lagos. Announcing the date at his Yaba, Lagos office, the managing director, Fashintex Nigeria Limited, Mr. Ifeanyi Agwu said that preparations are in top gear to host a memorable show come May 1 to 7, 2014.

According to him, the auto show will also include an auto spare part expo which kicks off from the 4th to 7th of May during the show.
He disclosed that the response has been very positive from exhibitors who are itching to expose their products to the Nigerian Motoring public, through the International show.

“Every indication is that all the major players in the Nigerian auto industry will  take part in the fair which promises  to expose the latest products from auto makers from across the globe,” he said.

“This year, we will be highlighting on car finance which is key to acquisition of automobiles in the country. We are marketing finance companies to be at the event and expose their auto finance schemes to Nigerians and visitors to the show ground.

On why they are maintaining the Federal Palace Hotel as the venue for the show, the managing director said that the exhibitors and customer are very important to Fashintex, hence their interest is considered first.
“The hotel is closer to our core target audience, couple with its ambiance and security to exhibitors but in all, our goal is to make both the exhibitors and visitors to the fair very comfortable,” he said.

The Fashintex boss further explained that they were going to ensure that exhibitors get value for their money as they are expecting over 50,000 visitors at the show, which is in its 9th  edition.

To achieve this, he said, “we are unleashing heavy advertising campaign for the event, through radios, newspapers, TV and other details channels. This year’s motor show which is co-hosted with the Auto Part Expose Nigeria (the third edition of Auto Expo) promises to be outstanding as over 50 auto spare parts manufacturers and companies from Turkey, China, India and Nigeria have booked spaces to take part in the event.

The managing director said it will provide great opportunities for businessmen who would like to invest into spare part business or increase their investment in the sector.
