Lagos—RESIDENTS of Demurin-Ketu, Agboyi-Ketu Local Council Development Area, LCDA, yesterday stormed the Lagos State House of Assembly, Alausa Secretariat, Ikeja, protesting alleged planned demolition of their homes and Central Mosque by the council headed by Obafemi Durosinmi.

The residents, who stormed the Assembly at about 9:00 am, demanded the intervention of Governor Babatunde Fashola and the lawmakers on the planned demolition.

Vanguard gathered that the houses and the Central mosque are part of the structures constructed beside the Ketu Plank Market, which was razed by fire last March.The residents armed with placards which reads: “BRF we are traders and residents of Ifelodun plank market, we need your help; Duro, don’t divide us; Duro, our mosque is our pride; Ifelodun Central Mosque must stand; let us avoid Jihad violence among others.

Spokesman of the protesters, Alhaji Aliyu Bello, said  it came as a shock to residents when they woke up only to see a quit notice from the Chairman of Agboyi Ketu, Durosinmi, ordering  them to vacate
