Glo/CNN African Voices stars Ghanaian playwright James Ebo Whyte

This weekend’s edition of African Voices, a 30-minute magazine programme sponsored by Globacom on CNN International, will feature one of Africa’s literary stars, James Ebo Whyte of Ghana. The programme had last month featured Nigerian writer, Biyi Bandele-Thomas, as special guest.

African Voices is a half-hour magazine programme on CNN International and it is sponsored by West African telecommunications operator, Globacom. The programme brings to viewers successful and high-profile personalities shaping the African continent.

James Ebo Whyte is a renowned playwright who helped revive theater in his native Ghana. The writer, popularly known as “Uncle Ebo,” is a passionate storyteller with a series of plays to his credit that keep people coming back and filling seats at theatre halls.

Viewers connected  with the highly engaging personality on this weekend’s edition of African Voices at 8.30 a.m. yesterday. There are repeat broadcasts at 3.30 p.m.today ; 3.30 a.m., 9:00 a.m and 6:30 p.m. on Sunday.

The programme also runs on Monday at  2:30a.m., 10:30a.m., and 5:30 p.m.  It will further be shown on Tuesday at 5:30a.m. and on Wednesday at 8.30 a.m

Whyte will talk about the life-changing events that have helped him become the confident writer, director, and successful producer he is today.
