Stop killings by Fulani herdsmen — Benue Catholics

ABUJA —  The Catholic community in Benue State has asked President Goodluck Jonathan and Governor Gabriel Suswan to find solutions to the on-going killings of innocent people by suspected Fulani herdsmen in the state to prevent further loss of lives and property.

Catholic Bishops of Gboko, Otukpo, Makurdi and Katsina- Ala Dioceses, Most Reverends Williams Avenya,  Michael Apochi, Athanasius Usuh, and Peter Adoboh respectively made the call at joint news conference, yesterday, in Abuja.

”We call on both the President and Governor of Benue State as Chief Security Officers, CSOs, to take responsibility of security in Benue State,” they said.
