JOS— Academic activities at the Plateau State University, Bokkos, were paralysed yesterday, with some roads blocked as students protested the killing of one of them by suspected armed robbers.

Vanguard gathered that the student, said to be in 100 level, Mathematics Department, went to charge his laptop in a shop outside the campus, Monday evening, when some unknown persons shot at the occupants of the shop killing him and injuring another.

The injured man, who is receiving treatment in a hospital, is not a student of the institution.

The protesting students lamented lack of basic infrastructure like electricity on the campus which force students to rely on power generating sets owned by residents of the neighbouring communities.
