Extra-judicial killing: Rep lauds judiciary for sentencing ex-policeman to death
Chairman House Representatives Committee on Niger Delta Affairs, Mr Warman Ogoriba, yesterday hailed the judiciary for passing the death sentence on an ex-policeman, Matthew Egheghe, who killed a 20-year-old man in Bayelsa State in 2011, for accusing him of taking bribe at a check-point.

Pirates attack tug boat, abduct engineer, captain in Bayelsa
Suspected pirates Saturday, attacked a tug boat belonging to the Nigerian Agip Company, NOAC, along the Nembe creeks in Bayelsa State.

NNPC promises increase in gas supply to power
The Nigerian National Petroleum Company, NNPC, said that gas supply to power plants will improve over the next five weeks, following the massive repair works on ruptured gas pipeline in the Niger Delta region.
