Lagos State Government has commenced operation of the states law enforcement training institute for officials of Lagos State Traffic Management Authority, LASTMA and Kick Against Indiscipline, KAI, as part of the on-going reforms in the sectors.
Governor Babatunde Fashola of Lagos State, formally unveiled the training institute along with Senior Special Assistant on Transport Education, Dr. Mariam Masha, weekend.
Speaking at the launch, which was also attended by the state’s first civilian Governor, Alhaji Lateef Jakande and the state’s first military Governor, Brigadier-General, Mobolaji Johnson, the governor explained that the institute which had been on-going in the last two years, was part of measures aimed at improving traffic management and environmental sanitation in the state.
He added that the reform was alsofashioned to re-develop and furnish all the 30 LASTMA and KAI offices.
