Delta community alleges marginalization

Ogbe-Ijoh people in Warri South Local Government Area of Delta State, have decried their perceived lack of political and economic empowerment and development and have alleged marginalization by the present administration in the state.

A statement from Ogbe-Ijoh Youth Network, OPN,  by its Chairman and Public Relations Officer, Godspower Benakiegha and Adolphus Pere, respectively, said except for the  efforts of Mr. Daniel Mayuku, the member representing Warri South at the state House of Assembly, Ogbe-ijoh people would not have had any trace of development.

They claimed that Ogbe-Ijoh people, especially the youth, had suffered marginalization and lack of political and economic empowerment under the present administration, despite being a major oil producing community.

They threatened not to support any of the candidates who failed to attract developmental projects to Ogbe-Ijoh during future elections, in view of the insensitivity and neglect by the government.
