The Delta State Football Association has put the necessary logistics in place to host a successful Annual General Assembly of the Nigeria Football Federation in Warri, come Thursday, 28th November.
According to a press statement by the Secretary General of the Delta FA, Friday Onothoja, delegates to the AGA made up of state football association chairmen and secretaries from the 36 states, including the FCT Abuja, are expected to arrive warri on Wednesday 27th November.
Onothoja disclosed that the Brownhill Events Centre, venue of the AGA is set for the ceremony, which is the highest and biggest congregation of football stakeholders in the country.
As part of the AGA programme, there will be a charity cup match at the Warri City Stadium between Kano Pillars Fc, current premier league champions and Enyimba Fc, the Federations Cup champions.
The FA scribe also disclosed that a gala night will hold at the Brownhill events centre, where the Governor, His Excellency, Dr. Emmanuel Eweta Uduaghan, CON is expected to be given a sports award.
Early in the day, the Deputy Governor, Prof. Amos Utuama, SAN will declare the AGA open. Also to attend the opening ceremony is the Speaker, Delta State House of Assembly, Rt. Hon.Victor Ochei and members, House Committee on Sports.
The delta FA, through the scribe, Onothoja, has expressed appreciation to the Delta state government, for graciously accepting to host the 2013 edition of the AGA of the NFF, coming at time when Nigerians at home and abroad are celebrating the successes of our national teams.
