Foremost Ford dealer, Coscharis Motors has put smiles on the faces of orphans at the Arrow of God Orphanage Home, Ajah, Lagos, by donating 50 bags of rice and undisclosed amount of money to mark the Ford Global Week of Caring in Nigeria.
The Ford Global Week of Caring is a week set aside by the world renowned automaker to reach out to the less privilage and the community where they do business and Coscharis Motors, has in the last four years celebrated it with orphanage homes in Nigeria.
Speaking at the presentation, the Group General Manager, Marketing, Mr. Abiona Babarinde said that the company was happy to celebrate the Ford Global Week of Care with the orphanage home.
He said: “It is my pleasure on behalf of the entire team of Coscharis Group to be here with you this afternoon to celebrate the Coscharis Ford business partnership vis-a-vis its global corporate social responsibility activities as the Ford representative here in Nigeria.”
Continuing, he said, “our aim and objectives with our foreign partners is to be socially responsible to our immediate local environment where our business are sited and given back to the communities accordingly.”
Commending the president of Coscharis Group, Dr. Cosmas Maduka for impacting positively on people, the General Manager explained that Ford’s legacy of caring dates back to the company founded more than 100 years ago which they have carried out in Nigeria in conjunction with Ford Motor Company in the last four years.
Quoting from the bible that God is Father to the fatherless and he that gives to the poor lends to God, Mr. Abiona said, ” Each year, both Coscharis Motors and Ford Motors do seek to extend love and commitment to their communities through this project tagged ‘Ford for the orphans’.
“It is in this vein that we are reaching out to celebrate these lovely and wonderful youngsters via this platform.”
