Delta Central senatorial bye-lection: APC ‘ll displace PDP – Emerhor

As the bell tinkles for a bye-election in Delta Central Senatorial District of Delta State, to fill the vacuum created by the demise of Senator Pius Ewherido, foremost politician of Urhobo extraction and Chairman of Standard Alliance Group of Companies, Olorogun O’tega Emerhor, has predicted that the newly registered All Progressive Congress, APC, would defeat the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, in the forthcoming bye-election.

Olorogun Emerhor has also denied claims in some quarters that he was opposed to Delta State Democratic Peoples Party, DPP, saying that he adores the party and was currently involved in working on how DPP can form alliance, or merger with APC in the state.

Briefing newsmen, Olorogun Emerhor, also spoke on his relationship with the former governorship candidate of DPP at the past governorship election in Delta State, Chief Great Ogboru, noting that the two were “friends and political brothers, who are jointly working to give Delta State, particularly Delta Central senatorial district a face lift in subsequent political dispensations.”

The Insurance guru, who has declared his interest to contest the forthcoming Delta Central Senatorial bye-election under the platform of APC, said that he decided to pitch his tent with the party because he had discovered that “it is the party that has plans to alleviate the neglect and marginalisation of my Urhobo people and again, it is the current party of the progressives in the senatorial district, Delta State and Nigeria in general.”
