Club owners have suspended Warri Wolves from all their activities due to the dismissal of one of their top officials.
The suspension order was handed to the Delta team following their decision to suspend the vice chairman of the club Alex Amudo for attending the meeting of the association that disowned the Nduka Irabor-led LMC last week.
A meeting of the club owners approved the suspension of Warri Wolves until the suspension of Amudo is rescinded and his position restored.
The association described the action of Warri Wolves as “unsportsmanlike, unduly sentimental and unprofessional”.
Acting secretary of the Club Owners Alloy Chukwuemeka, who confirmed the development to newsmen in Abuja on Wednesday, advised football stakeholders to embrace dialogue as the best option for a peaceful resolution of any disagreement.
He commended the NFF for their fatherly role in the handling of the LMC/Clubs saga even as he assured that the issues would soon be resolved in the best interest of the league.
It would be recalled that the truce meeting summoned by NFF to resolve the LMC/Clubs crisis on Tuesday ended in a deadlock as the two parties failed to agree on some grey areas.
