The much awaited Vanguard Personality Award 2012  holding at Eko Hotel and Suites, Lagos is now live.

Timeline: 7:00pm

7: o5pm: Former Military president Ibrahim Badamosi arrives…

7: 10pm: Vanguard publisher Uncle Sam Amuka giving his opening remarks.

7:15pm: GM/ Editor in Chief, Mr. Gbenga Adefaye giving his opening remarks, on why Vanguard organised the Personality of the Year Award.

7:17pm: Chairman of the occasion Gen. IBB is on the podium thanking Uncle Sam for the invitation to be part of the award.

7: 20pm : ” Uncle Sam understands the virtue of power, media and friendship,”  Gen IBB.

7:23:pm: ” Gov Amaechi is not just a governor in whom I am well pleased…”

7:30pm: IBB commends Aig and Speaker Tambuwal… a standing ovation as IBB concludes his  address.

7:27pm: Popular comedian, Gordons is reeling his jokes, giving way for soulful Timi Dakolo…

7:43pm: Timi still on his beautiful rendition of his songs…

7:50pm: Holy Mallam takes a photo with Gen. IBB – his life long dream…

7:58pm: The first runner up for the Vanguard Personality of the Year, Mr. Aigboje Aig-Imoukhuede, Managing director of Access Bank steps up to receive his award.

Speaker House of Representative Tambuwal  presents the award to Mr. Aig-Imoukhuede.

8:07pm: Mr. Aig-Imoukhuede is giving his acceptance speech. Ends his speech.

8:15pm: Yemi Sax entertaining guests.

8:20pm: Yemi Sax exits.

8:29pm: A mini documentary on Amaechi is on before the presentation of the Personality award.

8:38pm: IBB presents the Vanguard Personality Award 2012 to Governor Rotimi Amaechi.

8:45pm: Governor Amaechi reading his acceptance speech.
