•as 1000 property owners get sub-lease title document
The Lagos State Government has released over N1.025 billion as compensation to owners of landed properties that were affected by development activities in the state.

According to an official statement by the State Lands Bureau, the compensation was paid to property owners whose landed properties and buildings were acquired in the  overriding public interest according to the provisions of the Land Use Acts.

The beneficiaries of the compensation include: owners of buildings affected by the on-going expansion of the Orile-Badagry Expressway , the o wners of land in Isiwu Community in Ikorodu, as well as  owners of land and buildings affected by the on-going expansion in Ago Palace Road.

Other beneficiaries whose compensation are under processing to be paid include those affected by Ikorodu road expansion, Lekki/Epe Airport project, Re-settlement project for Free Trade Zone among others.

Meantime, another batch of 1,000 allottees who bought their properties from Lagos State Government Housing Agencies, before January 2000 are to collect their Sub- Lease Registered Title Documents.

The  home owners, according to Lands;  are expected to receive their Registered Title Documents at Alausa, the Secretariat, Ikeja on Monday, March 18, 2013.

Governor Babatunde Fashola administration had initiated the registered sub-Lease tittle documents process of allowing the house owners in government housing estates to get title documents, which would serve as their proof of ownership as well as to also use their properties for business transactions, especially to secure mortgages and collaterals.
