Thirteen football coaches on training in different institutions across the country were officially presented to the management of Zenith Bank Asaba yesterday (02/04/12), by the Delta State Football Association.

Receiving the coaches in his office, the General Manager/Group Zonal Head, Mr Sunday Ilegar, said Zenith Bank as a responsible financial institution believes in giving back to the society where it operates.

Mr Ilegar advised the beneficiaries to be worthy ambassadors and to justify the training programme through their positive contributions to the beautiful game of soccer.

In a brief speech, the Chairman of the Delta State Football Association, Mr. Amaju Melvin Pinnick thanked Zenith Bank for being a worthy partner.

Mr Pinnick revealed that the gesture of Zenith Bank has restored hope to an ex-international, Ishola Shuaibu whose playing career was impaired by injury but had to convert to being a coach through the opportunity provided by the Bank.

It would be recalled that the Delta State Football Association recently secured a sponsorship deal worth  N8m for coaches in its  fleet to train at the National Institute of Sports (NIS) Lagos, College of Physical Education Mosogar and the CAF Grade ‘B’ and ‘C’ programme in Abuja, respectively.
