The Eagles dominated the first half of the game, but in the second half the Amavubi’s took over as the Eagles midfield duo of Dickson Etuhu and Joel Obi were unable create chances or win the ball from the rampaging Rwandans.

However, they were either off target or Vincent Enyeama was making daring saves.

“My consolation is that we did not lose,” said Eagles coach Stephen Keshi. They had several chances to bury this game but they failed to do so.”

“It was difficult to get the team to play as one because we only had one training session before the game,” disclosed the Eagles coach. We will go back and continue to work hard ahead of the return leg match.”
