UYO – Akwa Ibom State Police Command says they have uncovered plans by members of some unions, who have contrived to hide under the ongoing face-off on the issue of fuel subsidy, and minimum wage to foment trouble and take laws into their hands.
The Command warned the unions against such action.
State Police Commissioner, Solomon Arase, while stating it readiness to bring the full weight of the law on any person caught in the act, said he would not fold his hands and watch any individual or groups disturb the peace and tranquility in the state through deliberate acts of molestation, intimidation and harassment.
The statement by the Police Public Relations Officer, Onyeka Orji, warned that these organisations and groups should realise that where their rights end is where the rights of others begin.
