ABUJA- Code of Conduct Tribunal, CCT, yesterday, summoned the former governor of Kano State, Alhaji Ibrahim Shekarau, and former Comptroller of Immigration, Hassan Kangiwa to appear before it on January 12 to answer to charges brought against them by the Code of Conduct Bureau, CCB.

CCB is alleging that they acted contrary to the code of conduct for public officers in the country whilst they were in office.

According to a statement by Head, Press and Public Relations Unit of the CCB, Mrs. Iyabo Akinwale, in Abuja, yesterday, others equally ordered to appear before the tribunal for prosecution include the former Comptroller of Customs, Hussaini Kangiwa, and Mr. Olusola Aina of Border Communities and Development Agency.

Former Accountant-General of Kogi State, Ubolo Okpanachi; Muhammed Mahuta, former chairman of Fakai Local Government Area of Kebbi State; Egr. Bassey Ating of Akwa-Ibom Water Company Limited, Mr. Adeniyi Samuel and four members of staff of the Niger Delta Development Commission, NDDC, Rivers and Ondo states.

The statement said: “The above persons will appear before the tribunal to answer charges brought against them by CCB on January 11, 12, and 18 from 10am.”
