Shippers raise alarm over attacks on vessels

LAGOS – Indigenous Shippers Association of Nigeria, ISAN, has raised the alarm over increased pirates’ activities on the Lagos anchorages and warned its members against hiring out their vessels to lift cargoes, whose origin they cannot confirm.

ISAN’s Director- General, Mr. Dayo Adetona, in a statement, said vessels belonging to six of its members had been attacked in the last two months, adding that the most recent attack was about two weeks ago.
