ABIA State government has reacted to the position taken by one of the founding fathers of the state and an elder statesman, Prince Benjamin Apugo, who condemned in strong terms the ongoing disengagement of non-indigenes by the government, dismissing the elder statesman as “suffering from fundamental ignorance”.

Right from the days of creation, everything God made was by His wisdom. Divine wisdom is the epitome of exploits. Everything answers to the operation and manifestation of divine wisdom. Indeed, supernatural wisdom is real!

Before he was made Minister –or ‘Secretary’ as the novelty then was-, in the post-June Twelve contraption that had also in it Shonekan answering to HOG or Head of Government, Comrade Uche Chukwumerije, the now bellicose, warmongering, two-time Senator from Abia, was a ‘comrade’ in the frugal sense of the word: famished-looking, austerely-dressed and definitely seeming unable to wait for the littlest nourishment to recant old, non-provident ideologies.

Whereas the nation spends over N100 to produce one litre of fuel; the product is being sold at N65 only, making it inevitable for government to subsidize the transaction. The economics involved in the subject seems clear enough to make even the opposition to support the removal of the subsidy.
