ABUJA-THE National Leadership of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP said Thursday that it was yet to take a decision on the much publicised return of former governor of Ekiti State, Chief Ayo Fayose to the party.

In a statement yesterday by the PDP National Publicity Secretary, Professor Rufai Alkali, said the party though received Fayose’s application to return to the party having dumped it for Labour Party, LP, to contest the Senatorial election in Ekiti State, but was still studying it with plans to make decision known to the public.

The statement read, ‘’The National Working Committee, NWC, of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, met today, October 12, and deliberated on several Party matters.

‘’The NWC received an application for the return of the former Governor of Ekiti State, Chief Ayo Fayose to the PDP.

‘’The National Working Committee will study the application and shall make public its decision at the appropriate time. For the avoidance of doubt, the NWC wishes to state that it has not taken any final decision on this matter.”
