The Government of Senator Abiola Ajimobi of Oyo state has said that it plans to restructure 3SC, to enable the club compete favourably in the Nigeria Premier League.
Disclosing this during a stakeholders forum organized to chart the way forward for 3SC, Oyo State’s Commissioner of Sports, DapoAdesina, lamented over the present poor state of the club, blaming it on the greed of some persons, whom he stressed, were not concerned about improving the lot of the players
“The old practice of politicians forcing players on the coaches is over and I will see to the immediate restructuring f the club. I put my job on the line.
“”In line with this, I have spoken to the Chairman of Oluyole LGA, Hon. Abass Alesinloye to help get some plots of land, where a new office and a hostel for the club would be built”, added Adesina.
As a way of generating revenue for the team, Adesina said that the club will partner with private individuals to sell its new jerseys which would be unveiled at the end of the season.
Also speaking at the forum, 3SC General Manager, Mutui Adepoju, expressed satisfaction with the views expressed by all stakeholders, noting that he hopes that the club will benefit from the planned resturcturing.
