Cleric alleges fraud, seeks EFCC intervention

By JIMITOTA ONOYUME, PH
ECONOMIC and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC, has been asked to investigate an alleged incident of fraud against a  Rivers State cleric, Apostle Eugene Ogu, with a view to  bringing the culprit to book.

According to the  founder, Abundant Life Evangel Mission, he was  defrauded by a Czech based Nigerian who posed as an interpreter when he indicated interest to purchase an interlocking pavement block moulding machine from a native of Czech Republic.

The cleric, who spoke through Mr Iyke Nwawuike, said the arrangement was for him to pay for the machine through the interpreter, adding that he was surprised when he later discovered that there was no evidence of the money he had paid

The cleric appealed to the anti-graft agency and the police to  investigate the matter and ensure that the culprit was brought to book.
