A Delta State activist, Chief Francis Atanome-yovwi, has faulted Governor Emmanuel Uduaghan’s com-ment that Udu community was not his priority.
According to him, the governor made a funda-mental mistake by insulating himself and the government of Delta State from the underdevelopment of the Udu community, arguing that the community was not inhabited by natives only.
Atanomeyovwi said: “Uduaghan’s development effort in the first tenure was nothing to write home about. That was why majority of us felt that there should be a change in the governance of the state. Let’s try somebody else because the money coming to the state is not commensurate with the development on ground.
“For the governor to say he had no business with Udu people during a security meeting was an aberration. Besides, not only Udu people live in the Udu community. If he doesn’t like Udu people for not voting for him and he decides that there will be no development in the area, he has made a big mistake.”
