ASABA – National Assembly elections petition tribunal sitting in Asaba, Delta State, has dismissed the  petition by Mr Moro Dombraye of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, against the election of Mr. Oboro Preyor, Action Congress of Nigerian, ACN, representing Bomadi state constituency in the Delta State House of Assembly.

Mr Dombraye had argued that the election that produced Preyor was fraught with irregularities and urged the tribunal to nullify same.

But Preyor, opposing the petition, had prayed the tribunal to dismiss the petition, arguing that it was incompetent and had been abandoned.

According to him, the failure of the petitioner to apply for pre hearing notice was fatal to the petition and it was bound to be dismissed.
