ASABA – DEFUNCT Biafra warlord and former Secretary-General of apex Igbo socio-cultural organisation, Ohaneze Ndi-Igbo, Chief Joseph Achuzia, yesterday, threw his weight behind President Goodluck Jonathan’s proposal of a single six-year tenure, saying it was the most apt thing to do at this time.
Achuzia, who spoke to Vanguard in an interview said, “As far as I am concerned, there is nothing wrong with his proposal, it is a good development, you know the greatest problem in the country is that of succession and the amendment he is seeking will cure the problem.”
He said what the President was seeking was not tenure elongation as some people had erroneously implied, but something that will come into force after his tenure of office.
