As bombs go off as routine in Maiduguri, Bauchi, Kaduna, Abuja and other targets that the criminals may choose, too much attention is paid to chasing the criminals after the crime. Why the sudden rise in insecurity? What can be done? Is anyone noticing that while all the attention is on the bomb spots, kidnappers are returning? Will Nigerians ever feel safe again? What are the causes of insecurity? Where are the police and government?
