A helicopter belonging to OAS that left Lagos for Ilorin yesterday disappeared from the airspace.
The helicopter was said to have carried an important dignitary from Lagos to Ilorin at about noon and was expected back in Lagos by 4pm in the evening and that was not to be.
The company that runs the helicopter became concerned and with inquiries they learnt there was a big bang in Ogbomosho, Oyo state, after the news of the disappearance.
One of the staff of the company told Saturday Vanguard that the helicopter had three people on board..
The company said they have dispatched a search and rescue team to the area.
When contacted Nigerian Civil Aviation Authority boss, Dr. Harold Demurin said they are holding vigil in the office as to get report from the search and rescue team.
