Former Vice-President of ICAN, Chief Arthur Mbanefo has challenged chartered accountants to always document their experiences and competencies in a book form as a way of providing a platform for younger ones to leverage on.
Mbanefo was speaking in Lagos as the chairman of a book launch JAAA’s Collection of Favourite Bits and Pieces and Call to Serve , written by ex-president of ICAN Prince J.A.A Adebayo.
According to Mbanefo, the only way to be on the right path with posterity after any service is to permanently document the facts and figures as were the case during active service.
Commenting on Prince Adebayo’s book, he said that writing a book bordering on one’s experiences while in active service was not a tea party, adding that the author should be commended for putting down a book that would remain a reference point for all and sundry.
The publisher, Mr. Adebayo Ajayi, said that the author gave his best in the book. He also mentioned that there is nothing like what is in print; “he did well for posterity by putting his speeches into print.”
The books were reviewed by Barristers Chidi Ilogu and A. Adekoya respectively.
