A block of six classrooms has been gutted by fire at Abu-Ato Primary School located opposite the Ogbe-ogonogo market, Asaba.
The incident took place Sunday night, exactly a week when a similar fire incident razed a building at Okpanam in which four children of the same parents were roasted to death.
Luckily, men of the State Fire Service were able to ensure that the inferno did not spread to the neighbouring Ogbe-Ogonogo market.
State Commissioner for Basic and Secondary Education. Prof. Patrick Muoboghare who inspected the burnt school building yesterday, attributed it to an alleged act of sabotage, describing the act as ungodly and condemnable.
