A team of Code of Conduct Bureau, CCB, investigators, yesterday, were at the Lagos State Secretariat Alausa, Ikeja, and interrogated the state Deputy Governor, Princess Adebisi Sosan; Secretary to the State Government, Princess Aderenle Adeniran-Ogunsanya and some other members of the state Executive Council.
The seven-man team, which was led by the Bureau’s South-West Commissioner, Dr. Ademola Adebo, included other investigators and verifiers; Mr. Isaac Fayemi, Mr. Kehinde Faluyi, Bisi Atolagbe, Mr. Ezekiel Ola, Mr. Aramide-Atolagbe Akinola and Alhaji Alilu Owodunni.
They arrived the secretariat in the early hours as part of the ongoing tenure verifications of income and assets declarations of political office holders in the South-West.
Adebo, the Chief Investigator, said Governor Babatunde Fashola was, however, unavailable for the routine work probably due to his preparation towards the swearing-in ceremony next Sunday.
He said: “The exercise of verifying the income and assets declared by public office holders at the beginning and end of their tenure is a constitutional one.
“Therefore, all political and career office holders must submit themselves without exception,” he said.
