FORMER Chairman of Etsako West Local Government Council of Edo State, and chieftain of the Action Congress of Nigeria, ACN, Mallam Gani Audu, yesterday said that the people of the state would vote en-mass for President Goodluck Jonathan in this weekend’s Presidential election.
Mallam Audu who described President Jonathan as the “most experienced and qualified” among all the presidential candidates, said it was the first time that the South South would have such an opportunity in the history of the country.
Asked why his group was not backing the candidate of the ACN, Mallam Nuhu Ribadu, he explained that “Ribadu is a good man and also capable of leading the nation. But you can see that Jonathan is more experienced and so far, he has not disappointed Nigerians. Look at the election we just conducted, it is today adjudged as the freest election in this country. He gave the INEC free hand to operate. So that is why we are mobilizing for him seriously in Edo State.”
