Globacom unveils new Blackberry Point programme

In a renewed bid to reward its loyal customers on its blackberry services, a major national telecom operator, Globacom, yesterday increased the portfolio of its promo with the introduced Glo Blackberry Points program.

The Glo Blackberry Points program is another innovation that rewards Globacom subscribers with great gifts; ranging from free airtime to Glo 3G modems, iPods, Blackberry devices, iPads and the latest LED TV sets.

In this package for subscribers on the prepaid Blackberry platform, Globacom said subscribers stand the chance of winning amazing prizes by consistently recharging their lines to earn points.

Speaking at the Program, Globacom Head of Added Services, Samson Isah, said both new and existing subscribers on the Globacom Blackberry platform will earn a point for every Naira spent. This according to him, enables a subscriber who recharges with any amount to earns 100 points. This will be in addition with a monthly, quarterly benefits and a yearly draw which will deliver various benefits to the subscribers.

“The more the subscribers spend on recharge, the more points they earn to enable them win monthly and quarterly benefits and qualify for a yearly draw to win fantastic prizes ranging from guaranteed three months free subscription, N12,000 free airtime, Glo 3G Modems, 500 pieces of iPods, 5 iPads, 10 pieces of Blackberry Bold 2, 10 pieces of Blackberry Gemini devices and five 3_D TV sets, he added.”

Unveiling the program, Globacom General Manager, Prepaid marketing, Ashutosh Tiwary said a subscriber who has between 2,001 and 5,000 points monthly will have N75 free talktime automatically added to his or her account while between 5,001 and 10,000 fetches N150 worth of free talktime.

Subscribers who have between10,001 and 15,000 points monthly will get N300 worth of free talktime. while, those who spend between 15,001 and 25,000 points will get a guaranteed bonus talktime of N1,000. Anyone who garners above 25,000 points will get N2,000 bonus talktime.

These benefits according to him, are additional to the quarterly benefits for those who garner points between 15,001 and 45,000 within the quarter as they get free horoscopes, news alerts and health tips.

Continuing, Tiwary explained that those who amass points between 45,001 and 150,000 within three months get one month free Blackberry subscription. Also, those who gather more than 150,000 points within a quarter will be rewarded with a free Blackberry subscription and a 3G Modem.

However, the annual reward offer subscribers who gather between 350,000 and 750,000 points will win any of the 500 iPods made available by Globacom and those who earn between 750,001 and 1,200,000 points are qualified to receive a Blackberry device. With more than 1,200,000 points, subscribers will win a 3D TV set and an iPad.

Customers who are currently on Prepaid Blackberry service qualify for automatic enrollment on Glo Blackberry Points program, while new subscribers would need to activate their Blackberry service to join the program. To activate the Blackberry service, a customer is required to text ‘bismonth’ for a monthly plan, ‘bisweek’ for a weekly plan’ or ‘bisday’ for a daily plan to 777.
