ABEOKUTA – GOVERNOR Olugbenga Daniel of Ogun State,Tuesday, denied having a meeting with Asiwaju Bola Ahmed
Tinubu, the former Lagos State Governor saying such claims was absolute falsehood.
A statement by the State Commissioner for Information; Mr. Sina Kawonise said “The truth is that both Governor Daniel & Asiwaju Tinubu have not had any meeting together in the last few years. As such, any claim that Governor Daniel met Asiwaju Tinubu to reach an accord between the Peoples Party of Nigeria (PPN) and the Action Congress of Nigeria (ACN) to work together in the forthcoming election is false in its entirety.
“The mock election of last Saturday showed clearly that PPN is the leading party in Ogun State. It stands logic
on its head to claim that a winning party is stepping down for another party that is clearly trailing it far
behind.
“This claim is propaganda at its worse form. The general public is thus enjoined to be wary of the propaganda
and falsehood of desperate politicians who are determined to deceive the people in order to steal their mandate.
