Meanwhile, the Lagos State government in order to ensure sanity on the road has warned all event centres to desist from blocking the road whenever there is any social activity at the centres.

In the process the container fell on the vehicle killing the driver, who is the owner of the vehicle, instantly.

There was wailing as eyewitness were said to have watched helplesslessly as the man died. The car, trapped under the container, was a complete write-off.

The accident, as usual resulted in a terrible traffic situation as many motorists and other road users had a hectic time passing through the  scene of the accident, which was besieged by sympathisers and onlookers.

The man, before he met his death, was said to be coming back from dropping his children at their school.

A senior official of Lagos State Traffic Management Authority, LASTMA, who spoke on condition of anonymity, confirmed the incident, adding that the children of the deceased had identified and taken the corpse to appropriate centre for burial arrangements.

Meanwhile, on the event centre, Commissioner for Transportation, Prof. Bamidele Badejo, said that it was high time the state government regulated the activities of such centres in the state, as they were  fond of making road users go through undue hardship as a result of long hours spent in traffic during and after social activities at the event centres.
