Outrage over Customary Court of Appeal fire
Friday, January 28, 2011, is a day the staff of Imo State Customary Court of Appeal will not forget in a hurry. This is no thanks to a mysterious fire that completely razed the Court building located in the high brow Commissioners’ Quarters, Owerri. None of them had any inkling of the disaster that was lurking around the corner. But by Saturday morning, the once beautiful edifice had become a ghost of its former self.

In fact, the policemen were not envisaging any immediate problem but they were however, very conscious of the fact that surprises might spring up from any corner. Hence, they were not only at alert but poised to respond to any eventuality.

CBN releases reference codes for MFBs
The Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN) has released a list of reference codes for online renditions of returns for microfinance banks (MFBs).
The CBN, in a release on its website on Monday, said that the move followed the conclusion of the workshop on “On-line rendition of returns to the CBN by MFBs” held on November 1, 2010.
