AT least eight people, including a police corporal, were again killed in the Plateau State capital, yesterday, following fresh hostilities that have turned the city into a virtual war zone.

THE Police in Delta State and the Joint Task Force, JTF, on the Niger Delta, yesterday, foiled an attempt to kidnap the father of Senator James Manager, who represents Delta South Senatorial District in the National Assembly, but, he was shot on the leg by the hoodlums.

Chairmen of the 10 wards of the Democratic Peoples Party, DPP, and 14 elders/leaders of the party in Ughelli South Local Government Area of Delta State have petitioned the national chairman of the party, protesting the removal of Mr. Eme Mukoro’s name, who won the party primary election in the area.
