AP shareholders petition CJ, accuse Dangote of undermining the court
African Petroleum Plc Shareholders have petitioned the Chief Judge of the Federal High Court, Justice Dan Abutu, over the conduct of Alhaji Aliko Dangote, whose election as President of the Nigerian Stock Exchange, NSE, was nullified weekend, by a Federal High Court, Lagos, accusing him of undermining the judiciary by the various petitions he had written against the judges hearing the suit against him (Dangote).
Customs agents kick over 7% port levy
A group under the aegis of National Council of Managing Directors of Licensed Customs Agents (NCMDLCA), has petitioned the Federal Government over the continued collection of the seven percent port development levy.
The group in a letter to the Secretary to the Government of the Federation, dated 2 March, 2010, faulted the collection of the levy which an inter-ministerial committee had earlier recommended to be abolished.
