Women football stake holder an a former aspirant to the Nigeria Football Federation board membership, Aisha Falode has expressed concern over the technical capacity of coach Eucharia Uche’s back room staff ahead of the 2011 Women World Cup in Germany.
Speaking in Lagos recently, Falode who is a member of the Confederation of African Football media Committee said while she appreciated the fact that the Super Falcons won the African Women championship in grand style, “the World Cup in Germany will be a different ball game,” she insisted.
“My advice as we prepare for the world cup is for the NFF to ensure that Uche’s backroom staff is boosted. While I still want Uche Eucharia to continue as the Super Falcons coach, I still feel there should be a reinforcement of the back room staff.
“In Africa, we are miles apart the rest of the continent but at the global level we need to step up our game. Eucharia Uche needs help,” Aisha concluded.
Just after winning the AWC in South Africa, the Super Falcons took on Germany for an international friendly that ended 8-0 in favour of the world champions. Since the friendly, there have been calls for the overhauling of the technical crew of the team.
