As Delta State gubernatorial re-run election draws closer, Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, chieftains in Bomadi Local Government Area of the state have unanimously affirmed their unalloyed support for Dr. Emmanuel Uduaghan.
This was part of a resolution reached at a meeting of PDP stakeholders in the council on the re-run election. Speaking to journalists at the end of the meeting, the Coordinator Uduaghan Re-run Election Campaign Bomadi, Mr. Ekereokosu David, who is the Commissioner for Special Duties on Oil and Gas, said the Bomadi council has a big stake in the party and therefore, will not disappoint the party.
He said the support the people gave President Goodluck Jonathan, who is a member of the PDP, is the same support the people have for Uduaghan, calling on all Ijaw to turnout en mass to cast their votes for Uduaghan.
The PDP council chairman, Mr. Pius Labo, who fielded questions from newsmen, said the party had put everything in place for the campaign to kickoff, expressing joy that the party was sure of victory at poll.
Labo reaffirmed that the PDP was the only party on ground in Bomadi council, stressing that the party has become a household name in the council, nothing that it was the only party they know that has been delivering the dividend of democracy to the people.
