ABAKALIKI—Three commissioners have resigned their appointments from Ebonyi State Executive Council as a way of fulfilling the prerequisites set aside for aspirants in public offices seeking elective positions in the 2011 general elections.
They include Commissioner for Economic Empowerment and Poverty Reduction, Sunny Ogbuoji, contesting Ebonyi South senatorial seat, Commissioner for Public Utilities, Chief Tobias Okwuru, seeking for Ezza-South/Ikwo Federal Constituency, and Commissioner for Commerce, Industry and Mineral Development, Mr. Ben Okah, contesting Ebonyi Central senatorial seat.
Also believed to have resigned his appointment is Commissioner in Ebonyi State Local Government Service Commission, Moses Nome.
