Glaxosmithkline Nigeria PLC, has upgraded its manufacturing plant at Agbara in Ogun State to global standard, at a of more than N5 billion.
The Managing Director, Mr. Chidi Okoro, made this known when he conducted the Director General of National Agency for Food and Drug Administration and Control (NAFDAC), Dr. Paul Orhii, round the facility.
According to him, the company’s committed to research and development and to high quality manufacturing standards that meet the diverse needs of the Nigerian consumers.
“We are committing funds to research on pharmaceutical and consumer healthcare manufacturing to transform the national public health and accelerate Nigeria’s leadership role in African manufacturing landscape. We are willing to partner with government to fast-track truly world-class products and rid Nigeria of fakes.”
