Glaxosmithkline upgrades plant to global standard

Glaxosmithkline Nigeria PLC, has upgraded its manufacturing plant at Agbara in Ogun State to global standard, at a of more than N5 billion.

The Managing Director, Mr. Chidi Okoro, made this known when he conducted the Director General of National Agency for Food and Drug Administration and Control (NAFDAC),  Dr. Paul Orhii, round the facility.

According to him, the company’s committed to research and development and to high quality manufacturing standards that meet the diverse needs of the Nigerian consumers.

“We are committing funds to research on pharmaceutical and consumer healthcare manufacturing to transform the national public health and accelerate Nigeria’s leadership role in African manufacturing landscape. We are willing to partner with government to fast-track truly world-class products and rid Nigeria of fakes.”

Our products like Ribena caters for all in the family; Lucozade Boost gives everyday energy; Panadol gives fast relief from headaches and body pains, reduces high temperature and fever; our newly introduced Lucozade Sport offers on-field energy both for active people and all sports men and women,” said, Marketing Director, Mrs. Hannah Oyebanjo.

She said that the company offers products for every member of the family. According to her, the needs of the young, old, children, parents, active and passive are all fathomed into GSK’s range of products.
