Fayemi cautions communities

*Over pressure on commissioners

ADO-EKITI — Ekiti State Governor, Dr Kayode Fayemi, has admonished communities in the state whose sons and daughters are considered for political appointments not to overburden them with demands.

The governor equally advised members of Action Congress of Nigera, ACN, in the state not to be disappointed if they are not considered for appointment for now, assuring that whether or not, they are appointed that they will be relevant in their respective areas.

Dr. Fayemi spoke during the swearing-in of the Secretary to the State Government SSG, Chief of Staff, COS, to the Governor and senior Special Assistant to the governor on Media, Alhaji Ganiyu Owolabi, Mr Yemi Adaramodu and Mr Mojeed Jamiu respectively in Ado-Ekiti yesterday.

The governor who explained that all the three appointees were not appointed based on their towns of origin but on their ability and competence to perform.

He tasked the new appointees to be prepared to meet the needs and aspirations of the people of the state and urged them to have the fear of God.

At the ceremony attended by the first civilian governor of the state, Otunba Adeniyi Adebayo, Dr Fayemi called on the three appointees to be guided by the oath already sworn to by them in the course of discharging their duties to the public.
