Global Scansystems to train customs officers on scanning operations

As part of measures to ensure timely hand-over of scanning operations to officials of the Nigeria Customs Service (NCS) in two years time, Global Scansystems Ltd., one of the Destination Inspection (DI) service provider has said that it is committed to capacity building and effective training of officers.

Chief Executive Officer of Global Scansystems, Mr Fred Udechukwu disclosed this in Lagos at the graduation ceremony of Customs officers who completed the company’s two-months training programme on scanner operations and maintenance.

Udechukwu who was represented by the General Manager, Site Operations, Mr Hassan Adeogun said six customs officers were awarded certificates of completion of the training programme by the company at the ceremony held at the Cargo section of the Murtala Muhammed International Airport.
