PDP rejects Osakwe’s entry request

The National Execu-tive Committee of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, has rejected the re-entry bid into the party of Senator Patrick Osakwe.
Osakwe had sought to return to the ruling PDP through the Senate but he was advised by the party’s National Executive Council to process his re-entry and documentation through his ward, local government area and state executive of the party.

It will be recalled that Senator Osakwe had in 2007 defected to Accord Party after he lost the PDP senatorial ticket to Dr. Mariam Ali.

Deltans present at the NEC meeting when this decision was taken were the state Governor, Dr. Emmanuel Uduaghan, Delta State PDP chairman, Mr Peter Nwabaoshi, Senator James Manager, Senator Stella Omu among others.
