WARRI — FOR workers’ commitment and dedication to duty and long service, the Managing Director of Pyrammidt Company Nigeria Limited, a major indigenous contracting firm to Shell Petroleum Development Company, SPDC, and Chevron Nigeria Limited, CNL, has given out awards worth several millions of naira to its staff, to motivate them for greater and improved productivity.
The ceremony, which took in Warri, had in attendance Chevron and Shell representatives.
Chief Pius Omasanuwa, MD, Pryammidt, said, “I am very happy and the gathering is to celebrate my staff. I want to use this opportunity to motivate them for improved productivity. I want my workers to be more focussed and dedicated to duty.â€
Engr. Emmanuel Momoh, Area Manager, Chevron, Warri, said: “I am impressed because this is first of its kind. Chief Omasanuwa is a man that we at CNL respect so much. He is a partner who has never let Chevron down. I know he has passion for the welfare of his employees.â€
43 workers, who have served more than five years and above got certificates for long service and gift items.
Responding on behalf of the workers, Mr. James Imoniefe expresses their gratitude, adding “we are grateful. He is not selfish and is a motivator. We are indeed happy. We have been charged and we will do our best.â€
