NFA confirms Kano for Eagles’ match

The Nigeria Football Association is still smarting from the 0-2 loss of the Home-based Eagles to their Niger counterparts in Niamey and is making serious preparation to ensure that the Nigerians upturn the table in a fortnight and move ahead in the second African Nations Championships.

Secretary General of the NFA, Bolaji Ojo-Oba who told journalists in Lagos that  he was shocked by the loss said that the return leg would be played in Kano spokesman Demola Olajire had explained that Kano was chosen in line with their policy to take matches to other parts of the country.

He expressed optimism that the team handled by Daniel Amokachi are capable of cancelling the 2-0 deficit and moving ahead as he dispelled rumours that the team’s chief coach, Shaibu Amodu has resigned.
“As far as I am concerned, Amodu has not resigned, he is on leave and will resume soon,” he said.
