Cabrera backs Woods return

Angel Cabrera has admitted he would love to see Tiger Woods end his indefinite break from the game
ahead of next month’s Masters.

Woods has been out of action since stories of his infidelities emerged last December in order to spend time with his wife and family, but Cabrera would like to see the world’s number one make a telling comeback.

“I want him to be back but the Masters will always be the Masters, with or without Tiger,” he said.
“Obviously I want Tiger to be there. He’s the best and when he’s there, he makes tournaments different, it’s a special tournament.

“When he does come back, I hope it’s in the Masters and he comes back in great form,”
The Argentine, who won the competition last year after a play_off against Kenny Perry and Chad Campbell, is out to defend his crown at Augusta and he believes he has now proved he has what it takes to win the major events with the 2007 US Open title under his belt as well.

He added: This is very important for me. It signifies I can win majors, that it wasn’t by luck that I won the US Open. “It tells me I can get those big tournaments.”
