Oando wins NOG award

ABUJA — Oando Plc on Wednesday evening received Nigeria Best Company of the year at the just concluded Nigeria Oil and Gas, NOG,  in Abuja.

Senior Associate CWC Group and Chairman of 2010 NOG conference,  Dr  Alirio Parra, lauded the impressive multi-national investment of Oando Plc in Nigeria and abroad.

He  made the remark at a gala night  organised by NOG in recognition of companies which have done  well in the sector over time.

Parra said Oando, which is Nigeria leading energy group and African upcoming oil major with six divisions in marketing, supply and trading, gas and power, energy services, exploration and production more so in refining, had done so much in developing the sector.

According to him, “Oando is a home grown company which has an international standard, which has been in vanguard of operation for years. The company has been listed in Nigeria stock exchange, South Africa stock exchange and very soon they will also be listed at the London international stock exchange,” he said.

He said a company which had $200 million investment offshore and additional 11 international products deserved such a prestigious award.
